Warning
Order – Crossfire Vietnam Skirmish
1.
Situation –
an
american helicopter crew (ch-47 crew x2) have been forced down near
the ville of yu lap dog
in the au phuc dup province of SVN. Elements of the 516 Viet cong
battalion are known to be operating in the area and rescue of the
Crewmen is vitally important to morale and the war effort.
2.
Mission -
1st
and 2nd platoon of the 123rd infantry (River
Rat) regiment are tasked with inserting into the region, locating the
downed crew and returning them to FB Arkansas nlt 1800 hrs (1100 zulu
GMT).
3.
General Instructions -
a.
Special Teams/Task organizations – Supporting assets of the 145th
aviation battalion (1x ch-53 super Jolly green giant) and 1 pink
team (1x oh-6a loach and 2x ah-ih cobras) will be supporting the
effort and will prep the selected landing zones and remain in the
area for supporting ARA fire.
B.
Common Uniform/equipment – the uniform of the day is olive drab.
No SOG/lrrp/seal units are known to be operating in the area so no
exotic uniforms are to be expected. All areas are considered to be
free fire
c.
Special weapons, ammo, equipment – Fire missions (6x 105mm
artillery) are available from FB Nebraska. An Arty FO has been
provided and will coordinate with the comp commander.
D.
Tentative Time Schedule – stand to is at 0525 bmct (Begin morning
civil twilight) and helo rotation at 0715. breakfast will be planned
and served at 0615 local and end at 0635 local.
4.
Special Instructions
- Terrain Description – isolated tree symbols support a single fire team and building symbols support a single fireteam.
Standard
crossfire rules and incoming rules will be used on all scenarios.
